The Cathedral hosts many concerts throughout the year. Most are promoted by outside bodies which use the Cathedral as a venue, but the Cathedral itself is responsible for a number of performances.
There are close links with several musical organisations in Aberdeen, in particular with the Aberdeen Bach Choir, which in the past has normally given two concerts each year.
The University of Aberdeen gives several concerts each year and holds its annual Carol Service in the last week of the Autumn term.
The Scottish Ensemble and the Dunedin Consort regularly perform in the Cathedral, and there is a hugely successful series of candlelight concerts featuring more popular music throughout the year.
